Hello

This is a blog for my work! I am writing stories for children, and young adults that would be good for them, and screenplays as well! I am also creating fashions for my fellow man so that we can show the world what our true nature is!

I like your mission. In answer to the question/request left on my blog, I'm still thinking.

If you're a can't-help-yourself writer like I am, and if you ever have little stories or unfinished things that you don't think you'd publish anywhere else, I started a website which I'm working to advertise (you can at least look if you want to or if you haven't already). The idea is that we have a creative community of writers who want to share what they write, get criticism, and enjoy the inspiration of reading other short things from amateur authors. Anyway, I'm looking for contributors (open to anyone) and readers. It's WhenthePenFlows.blogspot.com
Also your mission reminds me of the mission statement of my business which I started last year: There is little in this world more touching than beauty in the midst of ruin, new life in a place of decay. Flowers grow from the ash on a volcanic summit. Bold women stand, beautiful, determined amid ruins. Rain falls on abandoned cottages. Children play in the rubble of broken cities.

So it is my vision to provide life, color, beauty, and renewal in a culture that has fallen. Take what is beautiful from the past and bring it into the ordinary life of the present. Revive declining melodies. Bring grace and personal service and relationship back to the business world. Remind people of old-fashioned values and enable them to live them.

So whether I'm selling baby gifts, aprons, home decor, or jewelry, I pray that the classic taste advocated here infuses your life and changes the world.

Begun in 2006, Lady of Longbourn is the first enterprise of a lady at home. I recognize that the culture is very much in need of revival. God is a part of all of life, and He designed life to be centered on the home. Even economics can be a part of bringing people back to Him and redeeming the culture. So, with an obvious desire to earn money while benefiting the world, Lady of Longbourn also seeks to use relationships established through commerce to turn the world up-side-down.

To God be all glory,
Lisa of Longbourn
